There has always been a need for humanitarians in history. Famine, flood, disease and political upheaval have created this need and throughout history, many have stepped up to be the healing hand the world needs. These special people and institutions have done so with loving hands through hard work, resources, and ingenuity to create hope and life where there is so much tragedy. There will always be humanitarians to help heal the world and we can all do our part to join the healing. The English Oxford Dictionary defines humanitarian as one “concerned with or seeking to promote human welfare.”

“To say that on a daily basis you can make a difference, well, you can.  One act of kindness a day can do it.”
